Parasitology Laboratory

The Laboratory of Parasitology ( IMTPARA ) began its work in 1968 , a few days after the foundation of the Institute , thanks to the efforts and determination of Dr. Hugo Lumbreras , who considered essential to have basic elements to deal with parasitic diseases.

Since its inception , the purpose has been to innovate in diagnostic procedures and research , with the support of prestigious Parasitologists outlined the bases of persevering research , dedication to service and ethics which are necessary in an environment of constant interaction with the patient.
